Biography

Jim retired after 37 years in the petroleum industry.

"My thesis was a mapping project and structural analysis of a portion of the west flank of the Bighorn Mountains, Wyoming under Dick Hoppin. I worked for nine different oil and gas companies from multinationals to small regional companies. The last dozen years I worked as an oil and gas consultant. My present professional organizational memberships are GSA (48 years), AAPG (43 years), Rocky Mountain Assn of Geologists (40 years) and Wyoming Geological Assn (25 years). I have worked on projects nearly every US state that produces hydrocarbons and Norway."
