Step outside the classroom and discover how research is shaping the future of food and agriculture. Join fellow UI students for a tour of the Rodale Institute Midwest Organic Center at Eztel Sugar Grove Farm in Marion, Iowa.

Get a behind-the-scenes look at innovative projects exploring:

  • Crop rotations and soil health

  • Cover crops and regenerative farming

  • Biochar and carbon-smart agriculture

  • Silvopasture systems that combine trees, livestock, and sustainable land management

Whether you're interested in sustainability, food systems, research, or simply want to experience a working organic farm, this is a unique opportunity to learn from leaders in regenerative agriculture.

Open to UI students only. Free transportation provided for the first 25 students who register. Vans to depart at 3:30pm. More info to follow registration. Space is limited and registration is required.
