The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences will establish the School of Earth, Environment, and Sustainability and reorganize language departments to enhance student success and collaboration.

Students in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences explored chemistry and sustainability in Europe, learning about climate change and sustainable practices in cities and industries.

Dr. Matthew Dannenberg recieved the James Van Allen Natural Sciences Fellowship for 2024-2025.

Graduate students Samuel Taylor and Austin Tang competed in the 3 Minute Thesis finals, with Samuel Taylor winning second prize.

On November 9th, Dr. Heather Sander’s class visited MacBride Nature Recreation Area, where students helped remove invasive Autumn Olive, learning about restoration and habitat management.

Dr. Susan Meerdink has received the ICRU Distinguished Mentor Award, recognizing her impactful mentorship in student research and creative work.

Dr. Eric Tate has been named co-chair of a National Academies study on using environmental health and geospatial data to guide federal investments under the Justice 40 Initiative.
