SEES PhD student Mirza Md Tasnim Mukarram has been selected to participate in I-GUIDE's Summer School 2026: Spatial AI and Convergence Science at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. 

Mirza's research focuses on developing AI-driven environmental and weather intelligence systems using satellite data, LiDAR, IoT sensors, and machine learning for applications including weather forecasting, flood and drought early warning, urban climate analysis, and sustainable environmental monitoring. Through interdisciplinary collaborations and real-world sensor deployments, Mirza's research aims to transform geospatial and environmental data into actionable solutions for resilient communities and smarter environmental decision-making.
