Mirza Md Tasnim Mukarram
Mirza Md Tasnim Mukarram is currently a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Iowa's School of Earth, Environment, and Sustainability. Before joining the University of Iowa, Tasnim worked as an Associate Environmental Engineer with the Bangladesh Army's HQ 24 Engineer Construction Brigade, where he played a key role in mapping land cover, assessing climate risks, and preparing greenhouse gas emission reports for the Further Development of Comilla University Project.
Tasnim has also served as a GIS & Water Quality Specialist at the Climate Change Laboratory, Green Laboratory Testing Services-BEPZA, where he was involved in water and soil quality monitoring and remote sensing data analysis. His previous academic engagement includes working as a Graduate Research Assistant at the Department of Civil Engineering, Military Institute of Science & Technology (MIST), contributing to land suitability analysis and GIS mapping.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil & Environmental Engineering from the Military Institute of Science & Technology, a Master’s in Environmental Economics from the Dhaka School of Economics, University of Dhaka, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Data Science from United International University.
